“You know, once you’ve stood up to cancer, everything else seems like a pretty easy fight.” – David H. Koch
We are extremely proud of Gareth Pinder, one of our directors as he reaches halfway point of his ‘Year of Pain’ through which he raises awareness of cancer and offers a helping hand to all families in need by raising money for St. David’s Hospice Care.
Gareth is on a mission to raise £10,000 at the end of the year to commemorate his father, Graham who battled cancer courageously and passed away in 2022. Graham received exceptional care from the hospice, and Gareth is determined to make a difference.
During his ‘Year of Pain’, Gareth showcases his unfailing commitment and strong zeal by successfully completing 8 challenging events; the Chepstow 10k; the Afan Fforest Hoka Half, the Newport Half, the 5k Kolor Dash in Newport, the Lydney Olympic Triathlon – 750m swim, 48k bike ride, 10k run – and the 105-mile Tour of Pembrokeshire, 101km distance in the Dalmatian Bike Ride and The Cardiff Legends 70.3 Triathlon a 1.9k swim, 88k bike ride, 21.8k run.
Next on Gareth’s agenda is the Ironman Swansea on July 16th, where he will face another demanding challenge.
We kindly urge you to show your support to all families affected by cancer, who are enduring such strenuous times by making a donation at http://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/gareth-pinder1.
