Gary has confirmed he will be competing in the North Pole Marathon in April 2014. Gary said "This definately comes under the heading of "Adventure" and I'm not doing it for charity - far too much pressure!"
Gary led a team of eight, including 68 year old John Harris in a wheelchair, to the top of Kilimanjaro the highest summit in Aftrica. Gary had climbed the mountain on 3 previous occassions.
Parker & Co sponsored the succesful team in conquering the English Channel in 16hrs and 21 minutes on 2nd July. The team was Gary Parker, Kath Lewis, Kara Williams, Dawm Lea and Keith Leslie.
The 3 peaks event took place on 22nd June and was a tremendous day for both the teams that took part and for fund raising for the charity. The weather once again was'nt so good but that just made it more of a challenge for the participants. Everyone seemed to enjoy getting to the end!
'Fun at the Fair' to raise money for St Davids Foundation charity in support of Channel Relay Swim 2013
Our nominated charity to 31st March 2013 is St.Davids Foundation Hospice Care. Gary's company,Parker & Co based in Magor, have chosen St.
Parker & Co are pleased to announce that they they are the sole sponsors of the prestigous St. Davids Ball in November 2012. "We are highly delighted and proud to have been given the opportunity to sponsor the best Ball of the year" said Gary.
Gary Parker and his team of climbers and mountaineers will be providing instructors and equipment for the abseil off the 176ft Newport Transporter Bridge to raise funds for St.Davids. Abseilers will be raising atleast £75 each for the event.
